Hey everyone!
Happy Friday and merry Christmas eve! I hope your week was great and here’s to fantastic weekend. Today’s post will be shorter than the others as I understand how busy this time of year can be and I don’t want to take up too much of anyone’s time. So, let’s jump into our topic for today.
There’s something special about waking up to snow on Christmas and Christmas eve and I say this as someone who loathes snow. I love the way the snow compliments peoples Christmas lights. Without it the lights don’t feel complete, as if a key detail is missing. I think my favorite kind of lights to see are the ones with red, green, blue, and orange lights. To me, those are the definitive Christmas lights. While speaking about Christmas lights, I’ve noticed far more people have put them up in a long time. I’m not sure what it is about this year, but I’ve seen many people with holiday spirit and I’m certainly grateful for it.
Writing this, I had a realization that I haven’t watched Christmas movies or specials this year which is one of my big traditions for this time of year. I have yet to watch the animated or Jim Carrey version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas which is my favorite Christmas story. I mean, how could you go wrong with a good redemption story and depending on which version of the movie you watch changes who it is that really needs redeeming. I should also set aside some time to give Diehard a viewing since according to most people I know it’s a Christmas movie and I have to agree with them. Truth be told I haven’t seen the whole movie, but I like what I have seen.
Alright, I’ll wrap things up now. First, I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read my work and posts, it means a lot knowing people enjoy what I put out. Second, do you have any Christmas and or Holiday traditions? Tell me about them in the comments! Finally, I want to wish all of you and your loved ones a merry Christmas and happy holidays. Have a great one!
Best,
Aaron Kirby
